South Sudan Slams U.S. Human Rights Report
Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the South Sudan government Wednesday said a recent human rights report issued by the United States unfairly accuses the country of failing to protect citizen rights.

The report released by the U.S. State Department, accuses South Sudan of extrajudicial killings, torture, rape, and other inhumane treatment of civilians last year.

The spokesman described the report as a "mere concoction to tarnish the image of the country, less than a year after it attained independence".
