Floral Tribute Paid to Ri Po Ik
Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the grave of Ri Po Ik, grandmother of President Kim Il Sung, in Mangyongdae on her 136th birth anniversary on Thursday.

Seen standing before the grave was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Kim Jong Gak, Choe Thae Bok, Yang Hyong Sop, Ri Pyong Sam, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and working people in the city.

Placed before the grave were wreaths in the names of the Central Committee of the WPK, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, military academies, educational and media organs and party and power bodies and farms in Pyongyang City.

The participants paid silent tribute to her, looking back on the noble life of her who gave steady continuity to the patriotic Mangyongdae revolutionary family tradition and devoted her all to the accomplishment of the sacred cause for the country and its people.
