S. Korean Authorities Accused of Suppression of Progressive Forces
Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- Hwang Jong Gyu, chief secretary of the Solidarity for Actions for Workers' Emancipation of south Korea condemned the authorities for frantically suppressing the progressive forces on the strength of the fascist law, when interviewed by Internet radio "Voice of People" on May 25.

He accused the authorities of intensifying the suppression of progressive forces as evidenced by arrests of members of the Solidarity on charge of violating the "Security Law."

He continued: What the organization has done so far is that it advocated the inevitability of the doom of capitalism and professed socialism.

Nevertheless, the authorities are working hard to destroy the organization by labeling it "an enemy-benefiting organization" on the strength of the SL.

He deplored that progressive organizations are liable to become targets of crackdown and be branded as an "enemy-benefiting organization" as long as this evil law remains in force.

The sphere of application of the law is expanding to all social fields these days, he noted, declaring his will to join those organizations which have waged a campaign for its repeal in their joint counter-actions.
