Candlelight Rally Protests against Prosecution's Suppression
Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- The Unified Progressive Party, an opposition party of south Korea, held a candlelight rally outside the building of the party in Seoul on Wednesday in protest against the puppet prosecution's suppression.

The prosecution did not make a proper probe into the cyber attack conducted by the ruling party during the Seoul mayoral election and its recent illegal inspection of civilians, speakers at the rally recalled, adding that it, however, conducted a forcible search operation against the building of the opposition party.

All these actions were prompted by the authorities' political plot to quell the people's desire for replacement of the "government" growing stronger ahead of the "presidential" election and wriggle out of the ruling crisis, they noted.

They accused the authorities of trying to create a fresh political situation under the reign of fascism by attacking all the progressive forces.

They expressed their willingness to stand up against the authorities' wholesale suppression aimed to disintegrate the progressive political party and undermine the opposition parties' solidarity.
