New Species of Catfish Inhabited in Central Zoo
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Upside-down catfish (Synodontis nigriventris) was inhabited in the aquarium of the Central Zoo in Pyongyang some days ago, the first of its species in the aquarium.

Known as one of rare species, the 7 to 15 centimeter-long fish has six barbells. Its body is covered with black and light-color brindles. It lives near rocks under still water of rivers and lakes, hatching out on rocks.

Its fries move like other fishes but only the grown-ups backstroke. When not moving, its jowl leans downward.
