S. Korean Ultra-right Conservatives and Media's Argument about "Following North" Ridiculed
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Ro Kil Nam, representative of Minjok Thongsin, an internet paper for Koreans in the U.S., in an article "Argument about 'following north' is a comedy in the 21st century" said as follows:

The ultra-right conservative party and media are deliberately arguing about "following the north" over the internal affairs of the progressive political parties in south Korea these days. This is the most cynical comedy among comedies.

Media of south Korea are kicking up much fuss about the issue, painting a superficial picture of the situation with its essence and contents deleted.

This has only made a target of a scoff by the overseas compatriots who are sound in mind.

The Lee Myung Bak "government" and the "Saenuri Party" have illegally cracked down upon the Unified Progressive Party by mobilizing the prosecution and police, not content with their smear campaign against the party through a coloring operation. This is one of the comedies, too in the 21st century.

If the words "following the north" mean reconciliation and cooperation between the south and the north of Korea and mutual help, how nice these words are!

The above-said words much touted by the conservative media and politicians reflect the Cold War consciousness and reveal the consciousness of anti-communist confrontation.

It is a mean lever for eliminating their political opponent.

Do such media arguing about the above-said words have the qualification to talk about freedom, democracy, human rights and social justice.

Those politicians and media persons who like to use such words are most probably those guys who are not free from treacherous, undemocratic, anti-peace and anti-reunification way of thinking.

The Lee "government" and the "Saenuri Party" are typical of such political forces.

The Democratic United Party and the Unified Progressive Party should not join in such argument kicked off by the ultra-right political camp but seek a way of winning victory through solidarity among opposition parties as early as possible.
