Iranian Film Week Opens in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Iranian film week was opened with due ceremony at Taedongmun Cinema Thursday to mark the 23rd anniversary of the meeting between President Kim Il Sung and Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Seyed Ali Khamenei.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Jin Bom, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as vice-chairman of the DPRK-Iran Friendship Association, officials concerned, working people in Pyongyang and Ambassador Morteza Moradian and staff members of the Iranian embassy here.

Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys of different countries and representatives of international organizations here.

Speeches were made there.

The speakers said that the meeting between Kim Il Sung and Seyed Ali Khamenei provided a foundation for the development of bilateral relations of friendship.

They expressed belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would continue to grow stronger.

The participants watched an Iranian feature film.
