S. Korean Authorities Accused of Firing Workers
Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- All-people Memorial Committee for the Victims and the Reinstatement of Dismissed Workers of the Ssangryong Motors of south Korea held a rally in Seoul on May 19, declaring that it would stage a nationwide struggle against the puppet authorities' anti-worker policy.

Speakers at the rally said that workers deprived of the right to existence due to the business side's merciless dismissal step continue losing their lives.

Saying that they can never remain passive onlookers to continued meaningless deaths, they called upon people from all walks of life to pool their efforts to struggle.

They renewed their will to wage a large-scale struggle such as one million signature campaign and day of all-people action in order to get the issue of the Ssangryong Motors settled.

They demanded the authorities immediately rehire the workers, punish those who brutally cracked down upon the unionists' struggle and repeal the part-time job system.
