Korean Costumes Designs Get Popularity
Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- Put on display at the State Industrial Art Exhibition, held on the occasion of President Kim Il Sung's 100th birth anniversary, were Korean costumes designs and their samples.

The exhibits were presented by Pak Myong Sun, a painter at the Korean Industrial Art Studio.

She told KCNA:

"Various patterns of flowers are embroidered on red-color cloth to suit likings of young women.

I selected dark blue-color chima (skirt) and white-color jogori (coat) for middle-aged women. They are patterned with pieces of clouds in waves, which are the traditional Korean costumes decoration.

100 blossoms of wild roses and cherry are figured around peony flower on red-color chima.

Colors of flower patterns are contrary to ground ones.

The skirt was manufactured, consisting of six pieces of cloth to ensure easy movements.

The dear respected Kim Jong Un visited the exhibition in April this year and was satisfied with the exhibits."
