DPRK to Celebrate 66th Birthday of KCU as Grand Festival
Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- Celebrations of the 66th anniversary of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) will be held in Pyongyang with splendor.

More than 20,000 delegates to celebrations in Pyongyang were invited to participate in those events under the loving care of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Among them are model members of the KCU from all the primary, secondary and branch schools from across the country including remote mountain villages on the northern tip of the DPRK, villages near the Military Demarcation Line and solitary islets.

The celebrations will take place from June 3 to 8.

They will tour the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the old home of President Kim Il Sung in Mangyongdae, the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong, the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Memorial Tower and other places in Pyongyang and take part in colorful political and cultural events including a concert given by Unhasu Orchestra to mark the occasion, a joint national meeting of the Korean Children's Union organizations, a schoolchildren's TV meeting to tell stories related to their ample knowledge, high morality and strong body and a performance of schoolchildren's art groups from across the country.

They will spend happy and pleasant days at the modern funfair of the Kaeson Youth Park, the Central Zoo, Okryu Restaurant, Chongryu Restaurant and other places.

The preparations for marking the occasion as a great auspicious event are now underway under the care of the Party and state and all the people.
