"Saenuri Party" Denounced for Disregarding Mediapersons' Strike
Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Media trade unions in south Korea staged a demonstration on May 15 in Kyonggi Province flaying the "Saenuri Party" for disregarding the strike of mediapersons.

The ruling party is keeping mum about the strike of mediapersons, hell-bent on meeting its political interests, they said, and went on:

This cannot be interpreted otherwise than an intention of the Lee Myung Bak regime to keep closing eyes to the distorted and biased reports, while paying no heed to the demand of the media trade unions for the resignation of the managers of the conservative media organizations appointed by the regime.

Declaring that they would struggle till they see the impartiality of media, they demanded the ruling party immediately punish the managers of the vicious media institutions and stop the lay-off and punishment of mediapersons.

The puppet police and gangsters brutally suppressed demonstrators, but they carried on their stubborn protest, shouting "Parachute-like managers blocking true reporting, quit."
