Indonesian President Hosts Banquet in Honor of Kim Yong Nam
Jakarta, May 15 (KCNA Correspondent) -- Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono hosted a banquet in honor of Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Present there on invitation were Kim Yong Nam, Ri Kwang Gun, chairman of the Commission for Joint Venture and Investment, An Jong Su, minister of Light Industry of the DPRK, and other suite members, Ambassador Ri Jong Ryul and staff members of the DPRK embassy there.

Present there were Djoko Suyanto, coordinating minister for Political and Law, Security Affairs, Hatta Radjasa, coordinating minister for Economic Affairs, Agung Laksono, coordinating minister for People's Welfare, Foreign Minister Raden Mohammad Marty Muliana Natalegawa, ministers of Trade, Defense and Industry of Indonesia, Taufiq Kiemas, speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly, Marzuki Alie, speaker of the People's Representatives, the commander-in-chief of the Indonesian National Army, the chief of the Supreme Court, Nasri Gustaman, Indonesian ambassador to the DPRK, and officials concerned.

The Indonesian president said in his speech at the banquet President Kim Il Sung would be always alive in the hearts of the two peoples.

He expressed his belief that the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations would grow stronger as they have been consolidated and developed in the interests of the two governments and peoples.

Kim in his speech wished the Indonesian people bigger success in their efforts to build a new prosperous society.

He also hoped Indonesia would make a positive contribution to ensuring regional peace and stability and boosting unity and cooperation among developing countries.

A performance was given by Indonesian artistes at the banquet.
