Kim Il Sung's August Name Displayed Throughout World
Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- An inaugural meeting for the Japanese Society for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism took place in Tokyo on May 3.

Many streets, institutions and organizations of different countries have been named after President Kim Il Sung.

The banana cultivator members of the People's Party of Costa Rica named their party cell after Kim Il Sung in 1945.

Since then his august name has been honored in many countries around the world.

In September 1976, a university street in the capital city of Maputo, Mozambique was named "Kim Il Sung Street" and in February 1982, the Kim Il Sung Library was opened in Morogoro City, Morogoro Region of Tanzania.

An unveiling ceremony for Kim Il Sung's statue took place at Jilin Yuwen Middle School in Jilin Province of China in October 1986 and the classroom where the President studied was named "Room in Commemoration of Comrade Kim Il Sung's Reading".

A kindergarten in Ovorhangay Province, Mongolia, was named "Kim Il Sung Kindergarten" on the occasion of his 80th birthday in 1992.

In Peru a Kim Il Sung Hall was built at the Faculty of Industrial Technology of Huacho National University while the Institute of Agricultural Science was renamed Kim Il Sung Agricultural Science Research Institute in Guinea. And, the Kim Il Sung Bookshop emerged in Madagascar.

Meanwhile, many Juche idea study organizations named after Kim Il Sung have been formed throughout the world since mid-1960s.

The International Kim Il Sung Prize Council was formed on the occasion of the President's 81st birthday. The Council made a decision to institute the International Kim Il Sung Prize, followed by establishment of the International Kim Il Sung Foundation in October 2007.

Institutes, organizations and buildings for the study of Kimilsungism were formed or built in many countries, including France, Syria, Sweden, Denmark, Mexico, Nepal, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Mongolia, Benin and Mali.
