S. Korean Authorities Hit for Clamping down Progressive Media
Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Federation of Koreans in the U.S. issued a statement on May 11 denouncing the south Korean puppet group for kicking off a campaign to suppress progressive media.

The statement condemned the puppet prosecution for detaining Han Song, a journalist of the Internet paper Jaju Minbo, in the wake of arrest of its representative Ri Chang Gi.

Han conducted his just media activities to disclose the injustice of the authorities' anti-DPRK confrontation policy and explain the significance and importance of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, the statement said.

The statement deplored that to voice opposition to war and express desire for peace and reunification is punishable in south Korean society.

The prosecution playing the role of a hunting dog of the Lee's regime denounced for being traitors to the nation is bound to face a strong resistance of the people, it warned.

The statement demanded the prosecution make an apology to the people for its crimes, immediately release the journalists and guarantee Jaju Minbo legal and patriotic media activities.
