The homepage on May 1 posted an article captioned "Outstanding Ecologist President Kim Il Sung." The article conveyed story that the President led the work for turning Chongjin City into a city free from environmental pollution and with clean water.

It also referred in detail to the fact that learning smoke coming out from chimneys in the industrial area was all directed towards the residential area when wind blows, the President saw to it that a U turn was made in the city layout to bring about a radical switchover in the master plan for the construction of Chongjin City.

The homepage on May 7 praised the boundlessly modest traits of the President in an article "President Kim Il Sung's Mode of Dressing."

It cited facts that he always liked to go in simple attire, saying when the people don nice clothes, he would do, declining to receive every new dress presented by officials.
