S. Korean Authorities' Dispatch of Team for Investigating Mad Cow Disease Slammed
Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities' dispatch of an investigation team to the U.S. concerning mad cow disease was aimed to deceive the people, said the Internet paper Saram Ilbo in an article on May 6.

The team was only briefed on a research institute and factories while touring them, the article said, and went on:

A particular mention should be made of a farm owner who denied the team's access to the farm in which mad cow disease broke out.

The people are mostly concerned about the scope of mad cow disease and its seriousness.

But the team had neither method nor right to confirm it, the article said, adding that the dispatch of the team to the U.S. was just aimed to silence the public.

The team's activities drew censure from the people as it only made a few visits, not confirming the place where the disease broke out and key problems.
