Candlelight Protest Launched in S. Korea against U.S. Beef Import
Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- Candlelight protest was staged again in south Korea against the U.S. beef import.

A candlelight rally was held in Chonggye Plaza, Seoul on May 2 with more than 5 000 people from all walks of life attending.

The ralliers denounced the authorities for not stopping the import of American beef even though mad cow disease broke out again in a cattle ranch of the U.S. shortly ago, sparking off world-wide furor.

They urged the authorities to stop at once the beef import and opt for holding renegotiations for the "Free Trade Agreement" with the U.S.

The candlelight rally lasted through the following day.

There were big candlelight demonstrations in south Korea in 2008 in protest against the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors' sycophantic moves to import the American beef, dealing a big blow to the puppet ruling forces.
