Kim Yong Nam Meets Lao Delegation
Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, met and had a talk with the visiting delegation of the Lao National Assembly headed by its President Pany Yathortou, who is member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Friday.

Pany Yathortou said she was pleased to visit the DPRK at a significant time.

The friendship between Laos and the DPRK provided by President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Kim Il Sung has been steadily developed by leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un, she noted.

She expressed deep thanks to the party, government and people of the DPRK for having rendered positive support to the Lao party, government and people.

The achievements made by the Korean people greatly inspired the Lao party, government and people in their efforts to build socialism, she said.

She expressed conviction that the Korean people would register bigger achievements in building a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK and first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, true to the idea and cause of the preceding leaders.
