National Scientific, Technological Festival Closes
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- A national scientific and technological festival was closed with due ceremony at the Three-Revolution Exhibition Thursday. It was opened in celebration of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung.

Presented to the festival were more than 580 scientific research and technical innovation achievements selected from ministries and national institutions and provincial festivals.

Exchanged there were valuable research achievements and experience gained by scientists, technicians and working people across the country in the process of putting the national economy on Juche, modern and IT basis and developing technological and basic engineering in important fields including the key basic technology.

A national technical innovation contest among April 15 technical innovation shock brigades was reviewed.

The closing ceremony underlined the need for the scientists, technicians, officials and other working people to discharge their duty in building an economic power, bearing deep in mind the aphorism of the dear respected Kim Jong Un that the single-minded unity and invincible military capabilities plus the industrial revolution in the new century means entirely a thriving socialist nation.

Present at the ceremony were Ri Ja Bang, chairman of the State Science and Technology Commission, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, officials concerned, scientists, technicians and working people.
