Overseas Compatriots' Paper Calls for Implementation of North-South Joint Declaration
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- "Thongil," newspaper of Koreans in Uzbekistan, on April 24 carried articles calling for reunifying the country by the concerted efforts of the Koreans.

The paper said that a decisive phase will be opened for reunification when all Koreans will turn out as one to uphold and implement the June 15 joint declaration and October 4 declaration, the banners of the country's reunification and national prosperity.

However, the south Korean authorities have pursued confrontation with fellow countrymen and stepped up cooperation with foreign forces, going against those declarations, the paper noted, and continued:

Cooperation with foreign forces means one against the nation and for war. What the south Korean conservative forces have brought to the nation through cooperation with foreign forces was only the collapse of north-south relations and escalation of the tension on the Korean peninsula.

If they persistently pursue confrontation and moves for stifling compatriots in league with foreign forces, it is impossible to improve the north-south relations and prevent a war.

It called upon the Korean nation to pool efforts and conduct joint actions against the foreign forces and anti-reunification forces.
