Vocational Training Center for Disabled Inaugurated in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- A Korean vocational training center for the disabled was inaugurated in Pyongyang.

The center will teach the disabled how to make clothes, repair electronic goods and prosthetic appliances in conformity with their psychological features and physical readiness.

A ceremony for opening the center took place here Wednesday with attendance of Kim Mun Chol, vice-chairman of the C.C., the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials concerned and a member of the European Union Program Support mission in Pyongyang and trainees and their parents.

Speeches were made at the ceremony.

Its participants looked round a lecture room and handiworks made by the disabled.

Then there was a basketball match of trainees.

Under the DPRK government's policy on protection of the disabled, those disabled persons are leading a worthwhile life as full-fledged members of society by participating in public activities to suit their talents and qualities.
