May Day Tells Kim Jong Il's Loving Care for Working People
Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- On May Day, the working people in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were sorely missing leader Kim Jong Il.

This yearning runs higher among the steel-makers in particular.

It was in April Juche 98 (2009) that Kim Jong Il visited the newly-built Nyongwon Power Station.

Commanding a bird's-eye view of the man-made lake on the dam, he underscored the need for the metal industry to make a breakthrough in building an economic power.

Then he called for inviting workers of the Kangson Steel Complex and the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex to Pyongyang to enjoy a fireworks display on May Day.

On May Day, he even arranged a banquet in honor of those workers and enjoyed the revolutionary opera "The Flower Girl" with them.

He showed every possible loving care for them during their stay in Pyongyang, thus encouraging them to effect a fresh upsurge in steel output.
