Lee Myung Bak's Destiny as Politician Nears End: Paper of Koreans in U.S.
Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- Minjok Thongsin, an Internet paper of the Koreans in the U.S., on April 27 carried an article titled "Lee Myung Bak Called 'Rat'".

The compatriots in the north are in high spirits to wipe out the chief executive of south Korea as evidenced by the TV footage of them tearing to pieces Lee's effigy and calling him rat, the article said, adding it is unprecedented in the history of the inter-Korean relations. The article went on:

The Lee regime got on the nerves of the fellow countrymen in the north when Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il passed away in December last year and did not hesitate to chill the atmosphere for the celebrations of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung in April this year.

The north has expressed resentment at the Lee regime in the past but never called it "a herd of rats".

The north seems to have judged it can no longer pardon the Lee regime for slandering even the celebrations for the Day of the Sun, the great auspicious holiday participated in by not only overseas Koreans but a number of foreign guests.

The Lee regime will soon come to an end. So will his destiny as a politician with no room given for improving the inter-Korean relations. It is in a state in which it can no longer get reconciled and cooperate with the north.

Primary public attention is being focused on how the Lee regime will be made to leave the arena of history being branded as disgusting human scum.

Though a small country the north has arms and equipment enough to thwart provocation by any big power. This was fully proved through the military parade for celebrating the centenary of the birth of the President and the Exhibition of the Arms and Equipment of the Korean People's Army.

It was only Lee Myung Bak and his confidants who recklessly hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the north. That is why they are being censured as a "herd of rats".

The north is getting itself ready to take special actions for the earlier end of the Lee regime.

The Lee regime will be made to bear full responsibility for all the consequences to be entailed.
