Day of Sun Celebrated in Different Countries
Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- Colorful events were held in different countries between April 7 and 18 on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung, the Day of the Sun. They included an Internet seminar of political parties and organizations of East Europe and Central Asian countries in Russia, a national seminar on the Juche idea in Uganda, celebration meetings, remembrance meetings, round-table talks, lectures, book and photo exhibitions and film shows in Iran, Nepal, India, Palestine, Syria and Lesotho and Taekwon-Do tournaments in Bulgaria and South Africa.

Displayed in their venues were famous works of the President and leader Kim Jong Il and photos of the revolutionary careers and undying revolutionary feats of the peerlessly great persons.

The participants in the Internet seminar in Russia praised the undying feats the President performed for the prosperity of the country and national reunification. They deeply explained and proved the essence of the Juche idea and its validity and great vitality.

The chief of the Juche Idea Study Group of the Department of Psychology of the Kyambogo University Kampala, Uganda and other speakers praised the President as the outstanding thinker and theoretician who founded the original Juche idea and indicated the way of independence, prosperity and progress for mankind.

The chairman of the Central Committee of the Nepal Worker-Peasant Party said at a meeting that the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes is a just cause of building a thriving socialist nation and an exercise of the legitimate right of a sovereign state.

The principal of Indrafrasta National School of India in a lecture noted that though the DPRK is not a large country in its territory and population but has a tremendous might which no one dares provoke.

A congratulatory message to the dear respected Kim Jong Un was adopted at tournament for innovation of the African Taekwon-Do Federation in South Africa.
