Univ. Teachers Volunteer to Work in Difficult Fields
Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- Many teachers and graduates from various universities and colleges in the DPRK volunteered to work in difficult and labor-consuming fields including worksites for effecting a great surge in the drive to improve the people's living standard and schools of far-flung villages.

Kim Yong Su, engineer of an experimental farm of Kye Ung Sang Agricultural College of Kim Il Sung University, and his wife Kim Son Hui, staff member of the branch school of the College, volunteered to work on the Phyongam Co-op Farm in Koksan County of North Hwanghae Province and Min Pyong Son, teacher of Haeju Kim Jong Thae University of Education No. 1, decided to proceed to the Wonryong Co-op Farm in Anak County of South Hwanghae Province together with his family.

Kim Song Nam, researcher of the institute of light industry of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry, also proceeded to the Changsong Foodstuff Factory in Phyongan Province with his family and teachers of various universities volunteered to work in difficult fields.

14 graduates from Kim Jong Suk University of Education rushed to the worksite for rebuilding and repairing railways in a northern area and Ri Jong Hui, graduate from Kanggye Teacher Training College, volunteered to work as a teacher at a branch of the Unpho secondary school in Jonchon County of Jagang Province.

Graduates from Sinuiju Cha Kwang Su University of Education No. 1 and Haeju Jo Ok Hui Teacher Training College volunteered to teach at branch schools of island villages, 11 graduates from Sinuiju University of Education No. 2, Sinuiju Teacher Training College and Sonchon Teacher Training College and 24 graduates from Wonsan University of Education and Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teacher Training College to teach at schools on the forefront and in rural villages. 10 odd graduates from Hamhung University of Education, Hamhung Choe Hui Suk Teacher Training College No. 1 and Hamhung Teacher Training College No. 2 and others volunteered to work in Taehung and Komdok areas.
