Present there on invitation were officials of the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Liberal Democratic Party, Party for Peace and Unity, Military University of the Ministry of Defence, Central Military Band, Ensemble of the Interior Unit of the Ministry of Interior and Army Academic Song and Dance Ensemble Named after Alexandrov of Russia and military attaches of embassies of different counties in Moscow.

The charge d'affaires ad interim of the DPRK in Russia and staff members of the DPRK embassy were present there.

Prior to the reception its participants placed floral baskets and bouquets before the full-length painting of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il standing together and paid tribute to them.

They viewed photos on the theme of "Life dedicated to the people" and "The feats of President Kim Il Sung will last forever".

Speeches were made at the reception.
