Sex Inequality Serious in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- Sex inequality has become a serious problem in south Korea, according to CBS of south Korea on April 20.

A survey made by a regional organization of women's position in the fields of politics, economy, education, etc. proved that sex inequality is most serious in south Korea.

This is the natural consequences of the unpopular rule of the present ruling quarters.

Since the very day the Lee group of traitors came to power, it has enforced a policy for big businesses under the motto of "pragmatism", increasing the inequality, a serious social problem.

84,000 jobs for women were cut down in January 2009 alone due to restructuring pursuant to the pro-big business policy and lay-off.

Women became the primary target of the lay-off measure.

Under the patronage of the authorities, company owners put women on top of the list of workers to be discharged under the pretext of pregnancy and childbirth when lay-off is raised.

Those women who escaped lay-off by good fortune cannot free from discrimination.

An overwhelming majority of women out of the workers are part-timers arousing serious social concern as they are exposed to constant threat of dismissal.

Women workers are paid far less than men for the same work done by them.

Company owners' sexual abuses against women in work sites are becoming evermore undisguised. They live in uneasiness and fear everyday, subject to double and treble oppression and discrimination.
