Day of Sun Celebrated at DPRK Missions Abroad
Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- Celebrations of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung were held at DPRK missions abroad from April 5 to 15.

Receptions, friendship meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows took place at DPRK missions in Beijing, Dandong, Hong Kong of China, Nakhodka of Russia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Iran, Syria, Laos, Indonesia, India, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, France and Mexico.

Displayed in their venues were works of the President and leader Kim Jong Il, photos on the revolutionary feats of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing the drive of the Korean people to build a thriving nation and their happy life.

The participants of the film shows watched Korean films "Pyongyang at Night", "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation", "The Country Shining with Arms of Mt. Paektu" and "Reply of Korea".

Present there on invitation were officials of governments, political parties, parliaments, organizations, institutions, Juche idea study organizations and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in relevant countries, personages of international and regional organizations and non-governmental organizations and foreign diplomatic envoys in relevant countries. Officials of the DPRK missions were present at the events.
