Young Vanguard Vow to Carry Forward Cause of Songun Revolution
Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- Members of the young vanguard held an oath-taking meeting before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill Monday.

They laid floral baskets and bouquets before the statues and bowed in deep reverence for them. They vowed to glorify the Songun revolutionary feats of Kim Jong Il and remain true to the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Jon Yong Nam, first secretary of the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that after embarking upon the road of revolution at his young age, the President founded the Juche idea and performed undying feats in building revolutionary armed forces by firmly maintaining the idea and line of attaching importance to arms.

Kim Jong Il, who successfully carried forward the President's cause of army-building, pursued the unique Songun politics, making a great contribution to the development of Juche-based revolutionary armed forces, they said, adding:

Under the care of Kim Jong Il the young people have fully displayed the spirit and honor of being young vanguard of Songun in the gigantic drive for defending the country and building a thriving socialist nation.

They called on all young people to carry forward and accomplish the Juche Songun revolution started in the forest of Mt. Paektu under the leadership of Kim Jong Un representing their destiny and future, true to the behests of Kim Jong Il.

They underscored the need for the young people to always keep themselves in an alerted and mobilized posture to shatter the reckless moves of the U.S. imperialists and rat-like Lee Myung Bak group to ignite a war. Once the Supreme Commander issues an order, we will wipe out aggressors to the last man and achieve the historic cause of national reunification, the cherished desire of the nation, without fail, they concluded.
