Wreaths Laid before Statue and Grave of Kang Pan Sok
Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the statue of Kang Pan Sok, an indomitable revolutionary fighter and outstanding leader of the Korean women's movement, in the Chilgol Revolutionary Site and her grave in Mangyongdae on Saturday on the occasion of her 120th birth anniversary.

Seen before the statue and grave were wreaths sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Wreath-laying ceremonies were attended by senior party, state and army officials including Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim and Ri Yong Ho and the chairperson of a friendly party, leading officials of party and power bodies, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and education and media fields, servicepersons and Pyongyang citizens.

Wreaths in the name of the WPK Central Committee, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the DPRK Cabinet were placed there.

Also placed there were wreaths in the name of working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions, military academies, revolutionary schools, educational and media institutions and party and power bodies and farms in Pyongyang.

The participants paid silent tribute to her, looking back on her noble life.
