Center of Taekwon-Do Holy Land Completed
Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- The center of the Taekwon-Do holy land was completed as a monumental edifice in the era of Songun in the picturesque Chongchun Street of Pyongyang.

The center covering a total floor space of more than 10 thousand square meters has a building with a gable roof of Korean style. It houses a Taekwon-Do history museum, knowledge dissemination room, training room, international conference room and welfare service facilities.

There are more than 8,000 trees, flower bushes and turfs in the area around the building.

The appearance of the center made it possible to widely disseminate Taekwon-Do associated with resourcefulness and spirit of the Korean nation and contribute to giving full play to the dignity and honor as the homeland of Taekwon-Do.

A ceremony for the completion of the center took place on Friday.

Among those present there were Premier Choe Yong Rim, Ri Yong Su, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Myong Chol, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Jang Ung, president of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, Kim Kyong Ho, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, officials concerned, builders and Pyongyang citizens.
