Palestinian Ambassador Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- Ismail Ahmed Mohamed Hasan, Palestinian ambassador to the DPRK, arranged a reception at his embassy here on Thursday on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung.

Present there on invitation were Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Choe Chang Sik, minister of Public Health, Pak Kun Gwang, vice-department director of the C.C., the WPK, Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, So Ho Won, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Mun Song Mo, director of the General Bureau for Diplomatic Corps Affairs, and officials concerned.

The Palestinian ambassador said in his speech at the reception that Kim Il Sung had special relations with Yasser Arafat and set a fine example in the sense of comradely obligation.

Noting that Palestine is standing by the Korean people in their struggle for the peaceful reunification of the country, he expressed the will of his people and leadership of Palestine to boost the friendly and cooperative relations with the Korean people.

Kim Ki Nam said in his speech that the dear respected Kim Jong Un opened a new chapter in the cause of immortalizing General Secretary Kim Jong Il and is wisely leading the cause of building a thriving socialist nation with his gifted wisdom, versatile leadership ability and warm love for the people.

He said that the DPRK would extend invariable support and encouragement to the Palestinian people in their just cause of founding an independent state with Kuds as its capital city.
