Birthplace of Kang Pan Sok Visited by Many People
Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- An endless bevy of people are visiting the Chilgol revolutionary site, the birthplace of Kang Pan Sok, an indomitable revolutionary fighter and an outstanding leader of the women's movement in Korea, on the occasion of her 120th birth anniversary.

Chilgol in Mangyongdae District of Pyongyang is the place associated with the revolutionary history of Kang Pan Sok who gave birth to President Kim Il Sung and brought him up to be the sun of the nation and devoted her all to liberation of the country and people's freedom and happiness.

The visitors paid tribute to her statue in deep reverence.

She led the President to devote himself to the country, revolution and people with ardent patriotism and noble aim for revolution and ushered in a new era of the Korean women's movement.

They went round various places including thatched house where she was born and the Chilgol Revolutionary Museum.

The revolutionary site has drawn 27.8 million people including servicepersons and schoolchildren for nearly 60 years since its opening.

Among them were a large number of overseas compatriots and foreigners.
