Korean Book, Photo and Fine Art Exhibitions Held in China
Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- Korean book, photo and fine art exhibitions were held in Shenyang, Dandong and Shanghai cities of China between April 11 and 15 on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung.

Displayed in their venues were works of the peerlessly great men, photos on their undying feats and books, photos and fine art works introducing the Korean people who are pushing forward the building of a thriving nation under the wise leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Speeches were made at the opening ceremonies.

The vice-director of the Culture, Broadcasting Services, Newspapers and Publications Department of Shenyang City said that China and the DPRK have a long-standing history of friendship and have steadily developed exchange and cooperation in the fields of culture and art, in particular.

The Chinese people sincerely wish the Korean people greater successes in building a thriving socialist nation under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, the vice-director noted.

The deputy mayor of the Dandong People's Government noted that the Korean people have the time-honored cultural tradition spanning five thousand years, adding that the cultural and artistic level of the fair-minded, diligent and resourceful Korean people is famous worldwide.

He expressed belief that the current exhibition would help deepen the mutual understanding between the two peoples, offer the Chinese people an opportunity to know better about the modern culture and arts of the DPRK and its people's beautiful feelings and spiritual and moral traits and make a great contribution to developing the Sino-DPRK friendly relations.
