The revolutionary career of President Kim Il Sung was a sacred history of independence as it indicated the road to be followed by times and humankind with the rays of Juche, one of outstanding leadership as it unfolded a socialist ideal land, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, on the land of the north and one of love in which he embraced the people and enabled them to emerge makers of history and enjoy happiness.

The great President defeated the two formidable imperialist enemies with the matchless army of Mt. Paektu and led the social revolution at two stages and the two rounds of rehabilitation and construction and socialist construction of various phases to victories, thus building an invincible power independent and dignified, strong in self-defence and proud of its self-supporting in economy on the land of the north where only oppression, humiliation, centuries-old backwardness and poverty once prevailed.

The exploits the President performed on the road of national reunification by devoting all his energies and wisdom till the last moments of his life will always go down in the history of the nation as boundlessly precious legacy he bequeathed to our nation and strong asset for achieving the cause of independent reunification.

We will hold Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal sun of Juche and the sun of Songun for all ages and firmly preserve and devotedly carry forward the idea of national reunification and leadership exploits of the peerlessly great men without the slightest deviation.
