Kimilsungia Exhibition of West African Region Held
Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- A Kimilsungia exhibition of West African region was held at the Guinean Kimilsungia Greenhouse on April 6 to celebrate the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung.

On display at its venue were more than 100 potted Kimilsungias.

Present at the opening ceremony of the exhibition were political and public figures of Guinea, its Juche idea followers and other people. Present there on invitation were the charge d'affaires ad interim and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Conakry.

The chairman of the Guinean Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Association in an opening address said that it is great honor and jubilee of not only the Guinean people but all the African people to open the Kimilsungia exhibition.

The President is the benefactor and greatest man who supported materially and morally the African people including Guineans in their national liberation movement and building of a new society, said he, who is also chairman of the preparatory committee of the Kimilsungia exhibition of West African region for celebrating the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung.

He underlined the need to bring into fuller bloom the flower carrying the august name of the eternal sun in the African continent.

The Guinean minister of Culture and Heritage in a speech said that Kimilsungia is not only a flower of the nature but a flower praising the great man as it reflects the minds of the world boundlessly revering the President.

The director of the Malian General Bureau of Water and Forests and the director of the Senegalese General Bureau of Tourism in their speeches stressed the need to widely introduce the feats of the peerlessly great man through the brisk work to cultivate and disseminate the flower of the sun.

An art performance and a reception were given on the same day to congratulate the opening of the exhibition.
