Russian Students Acclaimed at Art Festival
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- A performance by the Chorus Troupe of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory of Russia participating in the 28th April Spring Friendship Art Festival was given at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre.

The chorus, made up of students, sang Korean songs very well.

Korean songs "Nostalgia" and "The Blue Sky over My Country" were among attractions.

Kulikov Alexandr Dmitriyevich, a pianist of the troupe, told KCNA:

"All Korean songs lively represent sentiments and rendition should also represent the same sentiments.

Songs of Korea and Russia are somewhat in common with musical feelings. That is why the Korean songs are also easy to play for me."

Founded in 1923, the chorus troupe has participated in the festival from 2003 and was awarded the festival prize several times.

Its head, Stanislav Semyonovich Kalinin, dean of the Conservatory's Conducting Faculty, is well known among Korean people.
