rection of Kim Jong Il's Statue Represents DPRK People's Ardent Wish
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Statues of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il were wonderfully erected on Mansu Hill in the capital city of Pyongyang to realize the ardent desire of all the Korean people.

It is high honor and pride of the DPRK to have built the statues at the historic time seeing the start of a new century of Kim Il Sung's nation.

An officer of the Korean People's Army, Ham Chol Hyon, told KCNA:

"I felt great happiness and deep emotion to see the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il standing together, who bestowed all glory and honor on the people.

With the erection of the statues, we and our posterity can keep the images of the great men more deeply in hearts."

Han Chol Ryong, a teacher at Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, said:

"I told the statues that the dear respected Kim Jong Un was elected to the top post of the party and the state.

I will devote my all to accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche under the leadership of Kim Jong Un."

Hong Sun Jo, a citizen residing in Central District, Pyongyang, said:

"As we live in an apartment near Mansu Hill, my family feels higher pride than others. We are very happy to see the images of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il every time and every day."
