Priority Given to People's Convenience
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung devoted all his life to the people's happiness.

With clear-cut outlook on the people from his early days of revolutionary activities, he placed the people's interests above anything else.

In December Juche 62 (1973), the President climbed snow-covered Namsan Hill in the city of Pyongyang together with officials. Commanding a bird's-eye view of the city, he suggested building a library on the hill to be used by all people.

Therefore, the site was left intact for years and was offered for building a big library in the 1980s. When its building was finished, the President named the library the Grand People's Study House.

When the Pyongyang City was flooded in 1967, he acquainted himself with the situation in flood-hit areas with wireless apparatuses.

He guided embankment improvement projects on the spot and went round flooded factories to take measures to recover from the damage as early as possible.

Flood damage went off in a short period and thousands of housing units with central heating system were built, afterwards.

With the approach of the Day of the Sun, the Korean people recollect the tireless efforts made by the President for their wellbeing and prosperity of the country.
