Kim Il Sung's Feats in Leading National Reunification Movement
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung in his lifetime had consistently taken to one-Korea policy for national reunification.

He called a joint conference of representatives of political parties and public organizations in the south and north of Korea in Pyongyang in April Juche 37 (1948) to thwart the moves of outside forces and traitors to make the national division de facto.

In the 1970s, he had the July 4 Joint Statement adopted between the north and the south to bring about a turning phase for Korea's independent and peaceful reunification.

In each period of developing situation he advanced the most justifiable, realistic and reasonable ways for national reunification. They include the Three Principles of National Reunification, the Proposal for Founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and the 10-point Programme of the Great Unity of the Whole Nation, which show clear goals and orientation of the reunification movement.

Kim Il Sung inspired all Koreans to turn out in the efforts for national reunification by embracing everyone regardless of his or her ideology, political view, party affiliation, religion and socio-political records.

Under his energetic guidance, the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification came to being and signal achievements were made in the cause of great national unity for reunification.

It was also a reunification-related document on which the President left the last autograph in his lifetime.
