Int'l Conference Supports Korea's Independent, Peaceful Reunification
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- A resolution was read out at the International Conference Supporting the Reunification of Korea in Pyongyang on Wednesday.

The participants in the conference keenly felt the significance of Korea's reunification in achieving peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia and the need for expanding the international solidarity movement so as to suit the ever-rising enthusiasm of the Korean people for reunification, the resolution said, and went on:

First, we will launch on a broader scale the solidarity movement supporting the just cause of the Korean people to reunify the country as guided by the Three Charters for National Reunification, the grand program of the reunification of Korea.

Reaffirming that the realization of the Three Charters for National Reunification is exactly the way towards the reunification of Korea, we will set this as our invariable goal in our struggle to support the reunification of Korea.

Second, we will render active support to the Korean people in their efforts to implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and launch a vigorous struggle to denounce the present conservative forces of south Korea who deny this and are indulged in vicious anti-DPRK confrontation campaign.

We will launch a broad campaign to widely publicize the significance of the north-south joint declarations in realizing the reunification of Korea and organize all over the world protest activities of various forms to expose and denounce the grave consequences of the vicious anti-DPRK confrontation maneuvers of the present south Korean regime.

Third, we will denounce the hostile policy of the U.S. which hinders peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula, and strengthen solidarity in support of Songun politics, the fundamental guarantee of reunification.

Fourth, we will make more dynamic efforts to make the U.S. withdraw their troops, the main obstacle to reunification, from south Korea and come to the negotiating table to conclude a peace agreement with the DPRK.

We will organize various actions to ensure that different governments and international organizations put pressure on the U.S. internationally to make it withdraw its troops from south Korea in accordance with the resolution of the 30th session of the UN General Assembly and accede to the DPRK proposal for a peace agreement.

Fifth, we will bring about a new turn in our campaign to support reunification of Korea by achieving unity and solidarity with all the progressive forces of the world who wish for the reunification and peace of Korea.

We will wage a vigorous struggle till Korea is reunified, the event so much desired by the Korean people.
