S. Korean Conservative Media Accused of Misleading Public Opinion
Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification in a statement on April 7 accused the conservative media of using its vice-chairman's condolatory visit to Pyongyang for fabricating "the north wind".

The conservative media are going reckless to mislead public opinion over Ro Su Hui's condolatory visit to the north in the run-up to the "National Assembly" election, the statement said, adding:

Chosun Ilbo asserted that Ro's return home should not be allowed and talked nonsense that it was skeptical about "what role he was supposed to play in the solidarity of opposition forces and what was the real purpose of his visit to the north."

The statement assailed other conservative media for linking Ro's visit to the solidarity of the opposition camp, echoing Chosun Ilbo's claim. It also ridiculed Ri Hun Gun, chief vice-spokesman for the "Saenuri Party" who made much fuss, urging an opposition party to clarify its stand on Ro's visit.

This is, in the final analysis, a campaign to build up public opinion linking the South Headquarters of Pomminryon and opposition parties to the north by setting conservative media in motion, the statement noted.

The organization will conduct a more dynamic movement for reunification under the banner of "By our nation itself" and punish Lee Myung Bak, the "Saenuri Party" of Park Geun Hye and their mouthpiece Chosun Ilbo and other conservative media, it declared.
