Members of Children's Union Meet
Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- A national meeting of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) organizations took place at the Taekwon-do Hall Tuesday to celebrate the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung.

Attending the meeting were representatives of the KCU from all provinces, schoolchildren in Pyongyang and pupils joining it.

Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, Mun Kyong Dok, officials concerned, war veterans, persons of merit and pupils' parents.

Jon Yong Nam, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, made a report.

It was followed by an admission ceremony of the KCU.

Led by Mun Kyong Dok, pupils joining the KCU took an oath.

Leading officials, war veterans, persons of merit and officials of the youth league put red ties around their necks and pinned KCU badges on their chests.

Prof. and Dr. Han Kwang Ryong, head of a chair of Kim Il Sung University, and Choe Jong Ik, vice director of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, made congratulatory speeches.

They requested the children to fully prepare themselves to be sons and daughters of Songun Korea, true to the high intention of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
