Kim Il Sung made great contributions to the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence. He enjoyed distinguished prestige in the world political circle and deep reverence from the progressive people.

The works published by the President through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities serve as a precious ideological pabulum and inspiring banner for the political and public figures and progressive people of many countries across the world.

During his lifetime he met a total of more than 70,000 foreigners including party, state and government heads of 136 countries and rendered material and moral assistance to the national liberation struggle, the anti-imperialist struggle and the building of a new society in many countries.

He put forward the idea of realizing global independence and made sure that the world people advocating independence struggled against imperialism in firm unity. He also greatly contributed to strengthening the socialist movement as well as the non-aligned movement.
