S. Korean Authorities' Unpopular Policies under Fire
Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- The Metal Workers Union under the Confederation of Trade Unions of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on Thursday denouncing the puppet authorities' unpopular policies.

Speakers at the conference recalled the fact that a worker committed suicide on the very day he was dismissed from Ssangryong Motors.

They condemned Lee Myung Bak and "the Saenuri Party" for driving workers to death.

They declared that in order to prevent more deaths the workers would carry on their actions till they force Lee Myung Bak and "the Saenuri Party" stand trial through social solidarity.

They urged the authorities to make an apology for driving workers to death one after another through unreasonable dismissal and take measures for guaranteeing them the basic right to existence.

At the end of the conference the trade union set up an incense-burning altar to mourn for the workers who resisted against the authorities' unpopular policies by committing suicide and their families.

Police hurled even gangsters for forcible eviction into an operation to prevent them from setting up the above-said altar and suppress them.
