Japan Has No Future: KCNA Commentary
Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries have pursued their wild ambition to grab Tok Islets generation after generation.

At the instruction of the government, the number of the textbooks in which Tok Islets are described as "part of Japan's territory" increased out of 39 kinds of social science textbooks of senior high schools in Japan including history and geography. It reached 21.

Even the chief cabinet secretary of Japan let loose outbursts that Japan would react to the protest against the controversial textbooks on the basis of its consistent stand, blustering that it is unacceptable.

In the past it was only ultra-right elements that raised a claim to Tok Islets but now it has become an open policy to claim this in the whole field of education at the prodding of the government.

Its brigandish claim and education are lashing all Koreans into great fury, going beyond their concern and vigilance as they are premised on a war to stage a comeback to Korea.

Tok Islets have always been part of the inviolable territory of the Korean nation and there exists no "territorial dispute."

Nevertheless, the Japanese reactionaries make "dispute" over the islets an established fact, insisting the territory of other country belongs to Japan, and are putting spurs to mental education of the youngsters for the purpose of launching a war for reinvasion of Korea to seize the islets one day.

They made the younger generation of Japan deformed ideologically and morally through their politics and education, oblivious of the lesson taught by history. In case they launch a war against the DPRK, it will result in harassing peace in Korea and the rest of Asia and turning the region into a huge battle field.

That is why Japan's present views on politics, history and education are termed the most reactionary, impudent and brigandish ones in the post war period.

History education in Japan should be oriented toward apologizing and repenting of wartime crimes.

Japan has no future as it forces its younger generation to repeat its past defeat, far from drawing lesson from it.

Such behavior of Japan will only precipitate the miserable end of its state and archipelago.
