International Marathon to Be Held
Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- The IAAF-25th Mangyongdae Prize Marathon will take place in Pyongyang on Sunday.

It will draw men and women marathoners from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Russia, Ukraine, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Sweden, Namibia, South Africa and Taipei of China.

They will take four rounds of a little more than 10 kilometers course, covering the Arch of Triumph, Ryonghung Crossroad, Kumrung Tunnel No.2, Chongryu Bridge, Rungna Bridge, Kumrung Tunnel and the Moranbong Circus Theatre, starting from Kim Il Sung Stadium.

The total distance is 42.195 kilometers.

Players who prove successful in the tournament will be qualified for the 30th Olympic Games.

The tournament will contribute to significantly commemorating President Kim Il Sung's 100th birth anniversary.
