Lecture Given in Democratic Congo to Mark 95th Anniversary of KNA
Pyongyang, March 29 (KCNA) -- A lecture was given by the Group for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea of Democratic Congo to mark the 95th anniversary of the Korean National Association (KNA).

Chairman of the group Kanga Ngerien Jerom in a lecture noted an outstanding leader of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea Kim Hyong Jik, father of President Kim Il Sung, formed the KNA.

He nurtured the noble aim to save the destiny of the Korean nation groaning under the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists and helped people of various strata arm themselves with the idea of "Jiwon" (aim high), powerfully arousing them to an anti-Japanese struggle, the chairman said, and went on:

In those days he formed the KNA, an anti-Japanese underground revolutionary organization whose goal was to closely rally all the Koreans and achieve national independence by their concerted efforts and build a genuine civilized country.

It was not until the KNA was formed that the Korean people could have a powerful guiding revolutionary organization grouping broad strata of people and the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea came to take a new course.
