Before the liberation of Korea he had been subject to maltreatment and contempt as a tenant. It was only after the liberation of the country by President Kim Il Sung that he could lead a worthwhile life.

He worked heart and soul to implement the agricultural policy of the Workers' Party of Korea. He is still engaged in farming even though he retired on a pension.

He is requesting his descendants to work hard for the prosperity of the country.
