Traitor Lee Myung Bak Accused of Defending Sexual Slavery Enforced by Japan
Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) -- Yun Mi Hyang, permanent representative of the Council for a Solution to the Issue of the Volunteers' Corps in south Korea, and Han Kuk Yom, co-representative of the council, made public a statement on Mar. 23 assailing the reckless remarks of traitor Lee Myung Bak disregarding the settlement of the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.

The statement accused Lee Myung Bak of asserting that the issue of comfort women for the Imperial Japanese Army "should be solved in a humanitarian manner rather than in a legal manner" at a press conference on Mar. 21.

The statement said the organization could not repress resentment at the reckless remarks supporting the stand of Japan evading the legal responsibility for the sexual slavery.

The sexual slavery enforced by Japan in the past is an issue which the Japanese government should settle in a legal way.

Lee Myung Bak must reflect on his reckless remarks and strongly urge the Japanese government to make an apology and reparation for its crimes.
